2025 IMPACT SUNDAY

Sunday, January 19, 2025

Church is like a family. Biblically, the church is like a body. We all have a vital purpose in seeing the vision and mission God has for our church community fulfilled. On January 19th, we are making that Sunday a day about celebrating all that God has done and is doing in and through Hope Chapel during our Sunday morning gatherings. We're calling it Impact Sunday. At all of our locations, we'll be sharing the exciting successes of 2024. It truly will be a time of worship as we thank God for calling us together to be His church.

  WHEN: Sunday, January 19, 2025

WHERE: All Locations

NEW PARTNERS LUNCH

Right after the Impact Sunday Gathering, we are hosting a New Partners Lunch for anyone who wants to say yes to being a part of the Hope Chapel family by becoming a church Partner.

Who is it for?

THOSE WHO:

  • Call Hope Chapel home, but have not formalized your desire to become a partner.

  • Have become a Hope Chapel partner, but have never attended a partnership meeting before.

  • Are newer to Hope Chapel and just want to learn more about what it means to be a Hope Chapel partner.

If that's you, you are invited and we are eager to host you and get to know you better. The New Partners Lunch will take place DIRECTLY AFTER the Impact Sunday Gathering at every location.

This lunch will start directly following the 10AM gathering at 11:30am and will conclude by 1PM.

Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

HOW DO I BECOME A PARTNER?

Partners of Hope Chapel are those who are “all-in” on mission at Hope Chapel. No one is perfect, but to the best of their ability, partners submit themselves to the practices that scripture lays out for those who are a part of the local church.

  1. A follower of Jesus and have been baptized (or intend to at the next baptism).

  2. Regularly attend Hope Chapel gatherings and are in community with others who do.

  3. Those who contribute to the mission of the church through service and financial generosity.

In addition to attending the New Partners Lunch on January 28, you can also…

WHY PARTNERSHIP?

Sadly, it is not uncommon to hear people say that they love Jesus, but they don’t love the church. Or that they have a growing relationship with Jesus, but they want to do that apart from the church. This idea couldn’t be further from the teaching of the Bible. The Church was God’s idea and everyone needs a church family to belong to.

Jesus said, “I will build my church” - The word for church in the Greek New Testament is ekklesia which comes from the words ek “out of” + kaleo “to call”. This means that we are the “called out” ones. We are literally called out from the way of the world, to follow and serve Jesus as a part of HIS church.

The church called the family of God and the body of Christ. Just as you will suffer, and maybe not survive at all, if some of your body parts aren’t working – the same is true for the local church. The Apostle Paul describes it this way:

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor […] God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”

I Corinthians 12:21-26

This means that not only can we not separate Christ from the church, but we also cannot separate ourselves from the body of Christ. You an important member, and Hope Chapel just won’t function that same way without you. To love and serve Jesus, means that you love and serve His church. Do not be content to simply attend church, but once you have FOUND HOPE in Jesus, go all-in on BRINING THE HOPE OF JESUS to others through your gifts, experiences, resources and unique story. While there are many great churches out there, Partnership is a process for you to vocalize that you want to link-arms and serve Jesus on mission with the family of God called Hope Chapel.

But that is not all. Partnership also helps your pastors and leaders to serve YOUwell. Scriptures speaks often about the relationship with the leaders of the church and the congregation of the church.

“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.”

Acts 20:28

“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.”

Hebrews 13:17

Everyone is welcome at Hope Chapel and each week we are blessed by God to minister to many and want to do our best to care for them in every way. Yet, it is helpful for the Pastors to know well who the individuals are that have planted themselves in this local church called Hope Chapel. We want to “shepherd” well by providing spiritual care and focused discipleship. We do this understanding that we will give account one day on our spiritual care and guidance of you.
