There is a prayer in the Psalms that may sound similar to a prayer you have prayed yourself. “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” Similar to this moment, this prayer was prayed in a desperate moment - a time where God’s people felt distant from God and each other.
In fact, it may have been written in a period known as the exile – when the people of God were in captivity. Yet in this dark time, God promised that the exile would end. He would make a way for His children to return home.
In this series, we will draw directly from the stories in scripture of what it looks like to return from exile back home. How do we return, reengage, rebuild and allow ourselves to be revived one again by God’s presence with us?
