Are You Missing the Miracle Right in Front of You?
What if one of the most profound miracles was happening right in front of you… and you didn’t even notice?
It sounds unlikely, but it happens more often than we think.
When We’re Too Busy to See
In a well-known social experiment, world-class violinist Joshua Bell once stood in a busy subway station playing a $3.5 million Stradivarius violin. Thousands of people rushed by.
Only a handful slowed down.
Just a few paused.
And only one person truly stopped to see.
Brilliance was right in front of them, but distraction kept them from recognizing it.
And spiritually, we’re not that different.
The Reality We Don’t Always See
In Scripture, there’s a moment where the servant of Elisha is overwhelmed with fear. He sees an enemy army surrounding them and assumes defeat is inevitable.
But Elisha prays a simple prayer: “Open his eyes.”
Suddenly, the servant sees what was there all along: heavenly armies, greater and stronger than the enemy forces.
The situation hadn’t changed.
But his perspective had.
And that’s the tension we live in:
There’s more happening than what we can see.
The Invisible Battle
We often focus only on what’s visible: circumstances, emotions, struggles.
But beneath the surface, there’s a spiritual reality at work.
Battles we can’t always explain.
Weight we can’t always name.
Patterns we don’t know how to break.
Fear that lingers.
Anger that controls.
Depression that isolates.
Cycles that repeat across generations.
These aren’t just random, they’re areas where the enemy would love to keep us bound.
But here’s the good news:
God’s desire is complete freedom.
Freedom Is Not Out of Reach
Deliverance can feel like a heavy or unfamiliar word, but at its core, it’s simply this:
God setting people free.
Free from fear.
Free from lies.
Free from anything that keeps us from living fully in Him.
And this freedom isn’t reserved for a few, it’s available for every believer.
Learning to Stand and See Clearly
So how do we step into that freedom?
It begins with awareness.
1. Ask God to open your eyes
Just like Elisha’s servant, we need spiritual clarity. When we begin to see clearly, we can respond differently.
2. Stand your ground
Scripture tells us to put on the armor of God. Not to run, not to hide, but to stand firm in truth, righteousness, and faith.
3. Pray with authority
Prayer isn’t passive. When we pray in alignment with God’s truth, we’re not begging, we’re declaring freedom in His name.
A simple model of prayer can look like this:
Identify what needs to be broken
Renounce it
Declare truth over it
Invite the Holy Spirit to fill what was once occupied
It’s not about formulas, it’s about faith and authority rooted in Jesus.
When Freedom Becomes a Movement
History shows us that freedom doesn’t just impact individuals, it transforms communities.
The Moravian community once committed to continuous prayer (day and night) for over 100 years. What began as a group of people seeking God became a movement that sent missionaries across the world and impacted generations.
Why?
Because when people walk in freedom, they don’t stay silent.
They carry that freedom into everything around them.
The Invitation
You weren’t created to carry constant fear.
You weren’t meant to live stuck in cycles.
You weren’t designed to fight battles alone.
There is more available.
But it starts with a decision:
Will you ask God to open your eyes?
Will you step into the authority He’s given you?
Will you let Him lead you into freedom?
Because the miracle might already be in motion.
The question is:
Will you see it?
